Buyer – Direct Procurement
Buyer - Indirect Procurement - Leading Energy Firm - £30-40k - South East England
One of Europe's leading energy companies has an urgent requirement for an experienced buyer to join their Energy Services procurement team in a strategic procurement role that will give them significant cross-category experience whilst working in support of a number of green energy, low carbon and renewable energy projects. My client is a genuine leader in the power generation industry and is one of Europe's largest providers of low carbon electricity and now has an urgent requirement for an experienced indirect procurement buyer to join their team, based in South East England.
This is a key strategic procurement buyer role and as such the successful candidate must:
- Have full end to end procurement experience across a number of indirect procurement categories.
- Be experienced in managing the tender process, in drafting contracts and in developing procurement strategy.
- Have excellent stakeholder engagement skills and be confident engaging with senior internal and external stakeholders at up to procurement director level.
- Ideally be degree educated or equivalent
- Be CIPS qualified or equivalent
In this strategic procurement buyer role, the successful candidate will:
- Help to develop and lead the procurement strategy for a number of procurement categories.
- Regularly interact with key internal and external stakeholders and act as an ambassador for procurement in the wider business.
- Manage the full tendering and contracts negotiation process with key strategic suppliers.
- Deliver savings and add real value to my clients wider procurement function.
