My Client a Global leading name within the automotive industry is looking to recruit a Buyer.

ROLE PURPOSE AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key activities:
Provide leadership for sourcing for locally managed spend categories
Understand Interface with BU partners.
Ownership of Common Goals
Drive local compliance to negotiated source strategies
Provide purchasing support for emergencies and coordination with SSC
Track Supplier Performance provide feedback to Segments
Manage local supplier relationships development (Supply Base Tail Management)
Execute Supplier Collaboration Ideas
Participate and support to internal business partner strategies and planning
Drive compliancy to NCI
Identify gaps and develop local catalogues to address uniqueness
Local execution of contracts

QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Essential:

Experience is preferred in purchasing, logistics, manufacturing, and/or engineering.
Evidence of buying related experience.
Strong negotiator, able to interpret, analyze and negotiate contractual cost elements
Analytical, problem solving, and project leadership skill.
Effective communicator, in written and oral form. Fluent in English and able to effectively communicate with people across the business where English is the second language
Well-developed interpersonal skills are required in dealing with sensitive issues, developing others, and reaching consensus on specific actions.

Desirable:

Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing Supply
Second European language would be advantageous
Functional leadership. Capable of leading teams, suppliers and customers to effective solutions.
Understanding of QCLDM
