Leading energy company has an opening for a contract Buyer in Dumas / Amarillo, TX area ! Do you have great attention to detail want to be part of a great team? If so, we want to hear from YOU! Buyer Responsibilities: - Purchases production materials, equipment, parts, supplies, and services as directed. - Works with planning group, attends planning meetings and sources requisitions for goods and services. - Obtains quotations from suppliers and negotiates pricing and terms. - Coordinates and expedites materials, quantities, and delivery dates. - Sets priorities, schedules work, and coordinates projects using the purchasing process. - Researches components for alternate sourcing. - Maintains required quality performance levels. - Assures suppliers meet with all company and customer quality standards. - Enters purchase order information into the computer. - Researches components/materials for sourcing. - Continues to develop and utilize a professional knowledge of purchasing principles, theories, concepts, and procedures in related functional areas. - Generates Work Order vs. Purchase Order report. Buyer Skills Experience: - SAP experience, preferred - Excellent PC and Microsoft Office skills required - Raw materials purchasing background, preferred - Telecom purchasing a plus - Excellent organizational skills - Excellent interpersonal skills. - Good negotiating skills procurement experience. - Excellent written and verbal communications skills Important information: This position is recruited for by a remote Kelly office, not your local Kelly branch.
