Places purchase orders, selects and negotiates with approved vendors and evaluates vendor reliability. Obtains materials from suppliers at lowest cost consistent with considerations of quality, reliability and urgency of need. Be able to status and align delivery schedule to fit production requirements. Schedules deliveries and obtains certifications of delivery. Checks and approves payment invoices for orders placed. Must be able to analyze requirements through an MRP database.
