We currently have an exciting contract opportunity for a Buyer in Evans, GA. The Buyer would be responsible for purchased material planning process from reviewing requirements, placing purchase orders, following up with supplier to assure on time delivery, 3rd party warehouse or drop shipment location. Responsibilities and prospects for professional growth include Plan engineering changes and coordinates material into production Seek out opportunities to improve productivity, processes, and business performance Place and maintain purchase orders for materials within area of responsibility Works with suppliers to expedite, cancel, or defer materials as dictated by changes in internal and external customer requirements to meet production and inventory objectives Manage material supply to ensure that on time deliveries, inventory turns, and service levels are maintained at optimal levels Facilitate problem resolutions with Accounts Payable related to purchase orders/ invoicing and pricing Modify order release due dates, quantities, and closes purchase orders, etc. based on planning demand Coordinate proper rotation of inventory to minimize scrap/reworked parts at incorporation time Review bill of material changes and update systems with information to ensure proper planning of new parts into production Establish effectively dates and monitor inventory levels of new and old parts to minimize cost impact Represents order fulfillment at various meetings and relay related information to Materials staff Collect information, comply into standard formats, and prepare monthly reports and other management reports as required Review and make recommendations for obsolete and surplus inventory Education and experience required: Bachelor?s Degree Two years of related experience Knowledge of manufacturing, quality control, and planning processes Proficient in the use of Excel and inventory management systems Ability to understand manufacturing engineering processes and to interpret blueprints Must possess good mathematical skills and the ability to communicate orally and in writing In addition to working with the most recognized and trusted name in staffing, Kelly employees can expect: Competitive pay Access to a comprehensive employee benefits package including health, prescription, vision, dental, and life and short-term disability insurance Paid service bonus and holidays Portable 401(k) plans Recognition and incentive programs Access to continuing education via the Kelly Learning Center For immediate consideration, click the APPLY NOW button, or refer a friend by clicking the EMAIL THIS JOB link provided.
