Job Description

Under minimum supervision of the Value Stream Manager. The buyer processes purchase orders, expedites orders, performs daily tasks as needed to ensure material is available to support production schedule.

Responsibilities include:

 

-          Purchase commodity items.

-          Expedite outstanding purchase orders.

-          Assist in the monitoring of rush orders.

-          Print, photocopy and distribute reports.

-          Process inventory work orders through drawings.

-          Process packing slips through receiving file.

-          Process fax and distribute purchase orders.

-          File documents as required.

Job Requirements

 

-          Grade XII

-          Oral and written communication skills

-          1-3 years purchasing experience

-          Proficiency in MS Office and Internet

-          Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
