Job Description:
The general purpose of the Buyer's position is to purchase materials and tooling to be used in the production of parts, as well as purchase supplies for the office and the shop for the day-to-day operation of the company.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Buyer is responsible for purchasing material to be used in production. He or she should seek out the best value for the product or service to be purchased. The Buyer will work closely with the Production Manager and planning and production control personnel to determine the different and varied purchasing needs and the timing of those purchases. The Buyer should build relationships with vendors to accomplish these goals.
The Buyer purchases the necessary supplies to accommodate the day-to-day operation of the shop and office.
For quoting purposes, the Buyer is called upon to research pricing and find parts. This information is used in preparing accurate quotes for potential customers.

The Buyer will have a minimum of 2 years of purchasing experience.
