Buyer, Junior Apparel Job in Torrington, Connecticut US
Extremely fast growing urban apparel retailer currently has huge growth opportunities available for a Buyer and an Assistant Buyer. The company that we represent sells the best in name-brand urban clothing and footwear for the entire family The buyer is responsible for product development, trend identification and analysis to ensure that the overall merchandise world meets the company's financial goals. As a buyer you must have a thorough understanding of merchandising, sales / turn and inventory management. Important to have a comprehensive background in urban style apparel.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Source and develop new products
Develop buying team to ensure effective performance and to drive sales
Build strong relationships and have a keen ability to negotiate with vendors
Travel to stores to educate and share product information with management teams
REQUIREMENTS
3-5 years buying experience in junior and or urban apparel
Bachelor's degree in retail,fashion or marketing
Strong analytical skills
