Buyer/Material Planner Job in West Yorkshire, Yorkshire Uk
Inside Out Purchasing Supply has been appointed to recruit for a Material Planner/Buyer to be based in West Yorkshire. The role itself includes elements of buying, expediting, MRP planning and inventory management; attracting a salary of circa £23,000 per annum.
Main Duties:
* Placing of Purchase orders using MRP package.
* Recording and reporting the performance of vendors.
* Expediting
* Producing forecasts, for internal vendors.
* Monitoring slow moving stock and relaying information to area sales managers.
About the individual:
* Knowledge of procuring from outside the UK.
* Experience in the setting up and monitoring of KPI's.
* SAP experience is desirable as is negotiation skills - but these are not essential.
* Must have experience in MRP packages, and will be expected to manage within MRP the relevant information to ensure accurate information is produced, such as:
* Safety Stocks
* Forecasts
* Demand
* Seasonal trends
* Lead-times
