Goodrich Power Transmission Systems is seeking an experienced Buyer/Planner. This position is responsible for maintaining schedule requirements of both purchased and manufactured items through rescheduling/expediting activities with manufacturing and the supplier.
Additional responsibilities include:
*Ensure that IFS and/or SAP reflect accurate and the same information in regards to order quantities, quantity completed and scrap
*Correct errors including but not limited to COGI, Open Reservation, and COOIS errors daily
*Release work packets and ensure all systems have matching engineering change notices, revision letters, and routing revisions
*Ensure cell objectives in regards to physical inventory and on time delivery are achieved
*Maintain updated information on share point site in regards to machining schedules, assembly schedules, missed shipment report and schedule change logs
*Populate weekly backorder and OEM OTD report
*Maintain vendor quotations, delivery/promise dates, and supplier quality to ensure supplier ratings remain accurate and complete
*Prepare certificate of compliance in preparation for product shipments
*Complete required cycle counts for respective value stream
*Four year degree in business or technical related field
*One to two years experience required with a strong understanding of customer service, manufacturing, and purchasing
*Minimum of three years experience in a related materials position
*Working knowledge of planning business system operation, (SAP), and query report writer.
*General knowledge of manufacturing processes and practices
*MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning) system experience
*Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
*Demonstrated analytical ability, excellent communication skills, able to interface with all levels of personnel
*Ability to make decisions which impact strategic goals concerning inventory, WIP, and throughput.
