Buyer/Procurement Leader (Indirects)

Salary up to £40k plus Bonus, Pension, Life Assurance and Relocation (if required)

Our client is one of the UK's largest and fastest-growing food companies serving virtually all the major UK supermarket retailers including Tesco, MS and Sainsbury's. Reporting to the Buying
Manager, your spend responsibility will be approximately £25M.

Role profile - Buyer/Senior Buyer//Procurement Leader (Indirects)

- A strategic role working within a growing and fast paced procurement team, you will deliver the indirects purchasing strategy, as well as control, manage and lead the strategic category spend.
- You will formulate contractual relationships for sourcing Group requirements, to ensure that we balance satisfying our internal and external customer needs, as well as delivering against our key procurement KPI's, namely spend targets, working capital, service levels and waste.
You will contribute to the development of improved internal systems and processes across the Group, constantly challenging the status quo to find improvement initiatives which will be adopted as best practice.
Requirements of this Buyer/Purchasing Leader (Indirects)
-Of Graduate calibre and ideally with food or FMCG experience, the successful candidate will have extensive experience operating at Buyer level. CIPS is preferred but not essential. Having demonstrated your ability as a top performing procurement professional, you will naturally want to build on this experience and make a strategic impact within a large multi-site food business.
