The Buyer will report solid line to the Indirect Sourcing Manager for FPS, and is responsible for all aspects related to the purchase of Indirect (MRO) goods and services in support of assigned commodities. Will be proficient with electronic purchasing systems, negotiating with suppliers, and analyzing total costs. Will protect the Company's interests by reviewing and utilizing appropriate contract terms and conditions and contract templates. Will evaluate and compare the total cost of procurement to assure best value is obtained. Thoroughly understands and adheres to Honeywell sourcing policies/procedures and Code of Conduct. Effectively interacts with multiple departments at all levels of internal and external organizations and professionally resolves problems in a fair and ethical manner. The Buyer assists the Sourcing Manager in driving all Indirect goals initiatives, and will recommend actions to meet goals and initiatives. Duties and responsibilities: •Purchase order placement •Support internal customer requirements •Ensure equitable opportunity for qualified suppliers •eSource (RFx and eAuction events) •Analyze competitive bids and formulate purchase recommendation •Compare/evaluate procurement cost •Control costs and obtain savings by using target pricing, reverse auctions, negotiations, and market tests. •Conduct Price/Cost Analysis •Consult with Commodity Leaders to identify cost savings projects/opportunities •Calculate cost savings and document in I-Save program •Meet or exceed established goals and objectives •Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by management

Basic Qualifications: •US Citizen or Permanent Resident for Export Requirements.•Bachelor's degree in business, technical, supply chain or related discipline; in lieu of degree minimum 5 years of procurement experience will be considered.•Minimum of 2 years procurement experience.
Additional Qualifications: •Professional Certification desired (CPM, CPIM).•Purchasing experience in industrial supply or facilities a plus.•Government buying experience a plus.•SAP experience desired.
•High volume experience a plus.
