Buyside Financials (Banks/Insurance/REIT) Equity Analyst
Our client, a value investing boutique long/short equity hedge fund based in the City of New York, has mandate us exclusively upon a search for a Global Financials Analyst.
The niche $800mm Hedge Fund focus 70% of their investments upon North America and employ a sector specialist in each area, each reporting to the Senior Fund Manager, who founded the firm and has 20+ years experience in fundamental bottom-up stock picking.
The ideal candidate will have at least a year of buy – side experience, on top of key investment banking experience covering the FIG sector. They will have focused on developed markets globally or within a smaller region for example Europe or US equities. The successful candidate will be able to present themselves clearly and concisely both in writing and verbally, demonstrating key ability to build financial models and discounted cash flows.
The successful candidate should have –
- At least 1 year buyside experience in the banks/insurance/REIT sector
- Excellent Academia, including financial qualifications
- A proven track record of successful investments
- Bulge-bracket investment banking background
- Hunger to work within a boutique research-driven environment
This is an excellent opportunity for an analyst who is looking to move towards a portfolio management position.
