Harrington Starr have partnered with a leading Prop-Trading house and Investment Manager that primarily trades around the Fixed Income and Equity markets across the EU. This company are evolving to greater heights having on-boarded some of the most renowned equity and fixed income traders and are expanding their IT team to join their talent pool.
For this role as a C# ASP.NET SQL 2005 Developer/Programmer (Trade, Trade Lifecycle) you will need to have an understanding of the trade lifecycle as you will be working on the company's internal reconciliation systems which has been developed further into the company's management information system. The system that has been developed monitors the daily profit and loss of the company and divides further to what each trader has gained and lost which makes it a vital application for the business. The application is developed in C# ASP.NET with backend SQL 2005 which is very data heavy so these skills are vital to the position. This role enables you to have the opportunity to be very autonomous and effectively bring new ideas to the business and application once fully understanding the project at hand. As an internal application you still have to be very proactive with the company and will be interacting with senior partners and advising on new functionalities and projects that can be done to enhance it.
As a C# ASP.NET SQL 2005 Developer/Programmer (Trade, Trade Lifecycle) you will require the following skill set:
* Experience and understanding of the Trade lifecycle and Trading- Essential
* 3+ years' experience as a C# ASP.NET Developer- Essential
* Experience with SQL 2005 and scripting- Essential
* Experience with Management information systems and reconciliation systems- Beneficial
* Good communication and someone that wants to be autonomous and bring ideas to the business to improve and enhance current systems- Essential
