C++ / C# Developer, Technology Prototyping Team, Leading Hedge Fund
Introduction: Montash Associates have been approached exclusively by a highly profitable, highly prestigious Hedge Fund, to assist in the search for and acquisition of a “best in class” C++ / C# technologist. This individual will join the Trading Technology Team, and will generate trading systems using cutting edge technology.
The Organisation: A truly global hedge fund with an excellent track record offering opportunities across a range of products, this group see technology as a key function to its on-going success.
The Team: This role sits within Trading Technology, which in turn is integrated into the trading group. The technology team is focussed upon creating a variety of systems which will be used alongside PnL critical strategies within the front office.
The Role: This requirement is for a strong C++ / C# technologist / C++ / C# Developer who will collaborate with traders, gathering requirements to prototype new applications. It is important that the individual in question is a strong communicator, with strong technical skills and an innovative mind-set.
The Technology: The main technologies in use are C++ and C#. Other technologies in use/linked are Java, Python, .Net, Matlab, R, Linux etc.
The Skills: The following skills are required:
- Expertise in C++ and C# (2-4 years)
- Additional skills across Java and Python are beneficial
- Proven prioritization skills, handling multiple projects at once and the focus to deliver on them.
- Experience of integrating with / using financial data from sources such as Bloomberg and Reuters
- Enterprise development experience
- Demonstrable experience working collaboratively with traders whilst developing software
- Ability to communicate effectively to a variety of associates- traders, developers, business teams
- The ability to gather requirements and to manage expectations in an inclusive manner
- Creative / innovative problem solving skills
- Enthusiasm to experiment with cutting edge technologies to produce the best solutions possible
- University degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred
