Harrington Starr is working with a Global Financial Software Vendor who is looking to hire C/C++ Developer to join their firm based Woking, Surrey You will join the Core Research and Development made of C/C++ and Java Developers where you will be developing various financial software for clients such as Investment Banks, Hedge Funds and Asset Management firms.
As the Senior C/C++ Developer you will be using C++/C (UNIX, Solaris, STL, OOD, Mutli Threading) and will be working on highly technical and bespoke trading systems as well as building award winning exchange trading platforms. These are large-scale, high throughput, transaction-intensive and highly distributed systems. (C / C++, STL, UNIX, LINUX, Solaris, OOP, OOD, Senior C/C++ Developer )
You will have experience from commercial environment ideally from a technology company. In depth knowledge and experience in Development using C/C++ with STL Boost and multi threading. The successful candidate will work closely with Business Analyst's and end users so clear written and verbal communication is essential. You will have the chance to operate the full development lifecycle from writing technical specs, development and then working with the testing and support team. This role will give you the chance to take ownership on development projects.
Key Technical Skills:
* Development experience using C++
* Experience of C++ and knowledge of STL
* UINIX, Solaris operating systems experience.
* Experience and a good understanding of complex technology, highly distributed systems.
* Degree in Computer Science or another numerate/compute intensive subject.
* Experience of Multi threading and OOD programming.
