C# Dashboard Developers recruitment
A leading global provider of critical information to decision makers in the financial, legal, tax and accounting, scientific, healthcare, and media markets, powered by the world's most trusted news organisation is seeking 2 C# Dashboard Developers, one at a senior level.
You will take on the challenge of creating and maintaining simple to understand dashboards that express the state and historical trends of the production and non-production platforms. The first project already underway uses the Splunk log file analysis software to extract trend data from application log files and store in an offline database. As well as maintaining and extending this solution in all environments you will take on other similar projects to extract relevant dashboard data from multiple systems and integrate into easy to use user interfaces.
The solutions used will include SQL Database, Data loading components, WEB services exposing the data, and some client applications. So to excel in this role you will need to be a hands-on person, with a mixture of software and system skills, able to work equally on UI programming tasks as well as data collection and integration; systems engineering tasks and database design. You will naturally understand how to extract business value from the mass of available data, and express that simply and understandably.
Working as part of a small team you will have multiple responsibilities, but they will be tailored according to skills of the successful candidates and will leverage the skills available across the wider team. You will need to be a self starter, able to manage and collaborate in a small group with architectural and technical guidance rather than day to day supervision.
Education:
- Bachelor degree or equivalent
Mandatory skills:
- Solid experience with C#, IIS and MS SQL
- Experience of working with Microsoft SQL server including designing, writing and maintaining stored procedures
- Experience delivering three-tier architecture, including ODATA based WEB services
- Be able to create, modify, and support IIS-based front ends using WEB Service back ends
- Regular expressions are needed for data extraction from Splunk
- Operating system and network knowledge to able to extract data from various sources on servers and represent in the dashboard.
- Experience of using agile methodology.
