C# Developer – C#, SQL, Oracle, PL/SQL, Agile,

C# Developer with 3 + years development experience working in banking or ideally a financial software house finance is required on a 6 month rolling contract for a large London based Hedge fund. You will need experience in C#, SQL, Oracle pl/sql, WPF, SVN, Web Services and ASP.Net. This is existing system development with a mix of front end and server side development.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produce detailed designs and code to deadlines and quality standards, following the development process and ensuring unit tests are documented and executed
- Support system and user acceptance testing
- Liaise with end users during development and testing
- Carry out 3rd Line support as required
- Estimate items of development work
- Report on progress to line manager, escalating issues promptly
- Comply with any audit requirements
- Co-ordinate with 3rd party providers as required.
- Follow the guidelines defined within the department
- Assist with the deployment of software to the production environment where required

ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- Developer in C# .Net Framework using SQL Server and Oracle PL/SQL for database activities. Working on a variety of applications in the middle office space. Experience of working in an agile team using TDD in a Scrum environment would be an advantage
- Ability to analyse system requirements producing strong design, estimates and a good overall architecture.
- Experience with the following technology is desirable; SVN, ASP.NET, Web Services, WPF, WCF, VB, VBA(Excel) and automated builds.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to document and present technical details in a clear and precise way. Always looking to develop and maintain strong customer relationships with our internal customers
- Ability to investigate and resolve technical bugs/issues found in software, with an organised and methodical approach to problem solving
- Degree with a significant computing portion and a minimum of 3 years relevant commercial experience.
- Understanding of the financial markets.
