C++ Developer - Next Generation High Performance Multi-Asset Trading System (Client Connectivity-FIX)
Global Investment Bank, Mid-Town New York
Circa $120,000- $160,000 plus considerable bonus potential and benefits
My client is a Leading Global Investment Bank, well recognized for its focus and strength on cutting edge front office technology within the low latency electronic trading and client connectivity space. In order to maintain its position within this space, the bank is seeking to bring on board a C++ FIX client connectivity developer. The opportunity is for an exceptional C++ developer with a strong working knowledge of FIX and specifically client connectivity, and high performance, low latency multi-threaded trading systems. The position will be cross asset, serving Equities, Fixed Income, FX and Listed Derivatives and the successful candidate will take a critical role alongside traders, mathematicians and strategists in a team targeted to double in size of the course of the year due to its continued success. The successful candidate will become a lead programmer building a low latency, multithreaded, client connectivity trading platform and programming multicasting feed handlers. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in C++, client connectivity, FIX order routing and Linux. The compensation will be extremely competitive.
C++ Developer - Next Generation High Performance Multi-Asset Trading System (Client Connectivity-FIX) will require the following skill set:
• C++
• Strong knowledge and working experience in the Client Connectivity domain in software design and development.
• Strong knowledge of FIX engines like Cameron, QuickFIX or similar and FIX protocol.
• Experience with Electronic trading platforms in Equities, Fixed Income or Foreign Exchange is a plus
• Experience with scripting languages like Perl, Shell scripts etc.
• Strong design and architecture concepts.
• Multi-threaded programming and inter-thread communication and control.
• TCP-IP Programming
• Working knowledge of Linux-Unix, shell script, perl, awk and similar utilities
Responsibilities C++ Developer - Next Generation High Performance Multi-Asset Trading System (Client Connectivity-FIX)
• Design and develop software to build and enhance Client Connectivity platform.
• Participate in platform re-engineering to make it more memory efficient, improve performance and recovery
• Collaborate with other members of the development and client connectivity team in America
