Full Job Description
The firm is a rapidly expanding proprietary trading firm with its headquarters based in Chicago that specialises in trading multiple assets including Equities, Fixed Income and FX, and the successful candidate will be working within their automated trading development team, in a sector of the organisation that has continued to generate high profitability. Due to the company?s growing success and burgeoning reputation, they are looking to bring on board an exceptional core C++ developer to join their team in the next month, with the potential for a possible second during quarter four of this year. The ideal candidate will be a core C++ developer with an excellent academic background and a degree in Computer Science from a top US college-university, and someone who has some experience working within the financial industry. A working knowledge of R and Python would also be beneficial although this is not essential.
Skill set for C++ developer Automated Trading - Proprietary Trading Firm-Chicago-USA:
• C++
• Degree (Bachelors upwards) in Computer Science from U.S. college-university
• experience working within finance
• Knowledge of R and Python is a plus but not essential
• Great communication-teamwork skills
Responsibilities for C++ developer Automated Trading - Proprietary Trading Firm-Chicago-USA:
• Develop and ensure baseline high frequency trading automatons
• Design and development in C++
• Analyze performance of all the trading systems
• Communicate and liaise with the other team members to ensure performance of systems
• Data analysis
This is a fantastic opportunity for an exceptional and talented C++ developer to join a growing proprietary trading start up in Chicago, working on ultra high frequency trading systems and directly contributing towards the profitability of the company. The company is looking for only the most exceptional Computer Scientists from top U.S. universities, who ideally with have one to two years plus working experience within finance, and they will be expected to contribute to the success and profitability of the company from day one.
