C# Developer - Equities/Derivatives - Switzerland

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Length: 6 months+

Scope of work:

Integrate EQ Funds  features and products into Cross Asset Portal (Silverlight) 
·         Pre-Deal verification for Funds/EQ 
·         Integrate Execution platform for Funds/EQ 
·         Post-Deal verification for Funds/EQ 
·         Connect to the Deal Blotter

Skills:

 General technical skills: 

• Has an in depth understanding of OO principles. 
• Is an expert in C# and has some knowledge with WPF or Silverlight 
• Demonstrates experience of using Design Patterns (advantages and drawbacks). 
• Has experience of using 3rd party frameworks/components (e.g. Telerik) and can decide when it is appropriate to use these. 
• Has worked on applications with complex scalability and performance challenges. 
• Experience of the full project lifecycle. 
• Experience of Agile practices and processes (e.g. SCRUM). 
• Has used a language other than .NET e.g. Java or scripting language. 

Nice to have: 
• Has experience of developing software for a large Enterprise, including n-tier development. 
• RDBMS experience (e.g. SQL Server / Oracle) helpful 
• Understanding and exposure to Test Driven Development. 
• Knowledge of real-time trading platforms or other critical transaction based solutions. 
• Hands-on knowledge of FX or similarly complex investment banking products would be ideal 
• Can explain complex ideas clearly.
