C# Developer – Finance IT (Multiple positions available) recruitment
Finance IT is looking to hire a C# Developer for the new Independent Price Verification (IPV) platform. The role will involve working closely with the Valuations team to remediate EUAs (End User Applications - Excel/Access/etc) that are key to the month-end IPV processes. The aim is to remove Operational Risk via remediation of the EUAs onto a Strategic IPV platform based on C#, SQL Server and Agile Methodologies.
The platform supports Valuations teams globally and will feed Global Valuations Reporting. A wide variety of products are in scope including Securities, Loans, Flow and Structured Rates, Flow and Structured CDS, ABS/MBS and Reserves.
There are currently two teams (8 developers in all) sitting directly with Finance Valuations focusing on two different aspects of Interest Rate price testing and we are looking to expand this to the other asset classes.
Scope of the Role
As the successful candidate you will be working as a C# developer within small teams (3-4 people) as part of a larger group of Agile teams delivering Independent Price Verification solutions directly to the UBS Valuation teams.
Key skills requirements include:
- Very strong technical C# skills
- Good SQL Server knowledge
- Some banking product knowledge (exposure to analytics/quant libraries preferable)
- Agile (XP/Scrum/etc) experience
- Experience of migrating Access/Excel/VBA solutions to C#
- Excellent communication (needs to work well in a team and with the users)
The technologies in use are: Visual Studio 2010 (.net 4.0), SQL Server 2008 R2/Oracle, Team City, NUnit, Subversion (AnkhSVN).
