C# developer – Multi-strategy hedge fund – Electronic Trading recruitment

The company is recognised as one of the leading European Hedge Funds and has  number of sub-funds or strategies.  The successful candidate will join a team that manages the electronic trading infrastructure including execution, order management, STP and associated downstream data population, trade data storage.  The infrastrcuture handles huge volumes of single and baskets of orders each day worth £billions of pounds.  The associated infrastrcuture manages all orders, market impact, trader screens and the data and messaging infrastructure interacts with a number of other internal and external systems.

The company trades in a huge number of liquid and illiquid worldwide markets in a variety of asset classes.  This covers, but is not limited to FX, Fixed Income, Equity, Commodities, Credit. 

Beyond software and technology skills, the successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of at least one area of financial markets such as back office - trade lifecycle, settlements etc, middle office / risk, front office - pricing, order management, electronic execution, price dissemination etc.  

Technology skills required: .NET programming and C# - knowledge of multithreading, message orientated, real time systems developed using C# and .NET, knowledge of WCF, WPF, ability to develop server side business logic as well as trading front ends and GUIs; knowledge of messaging protocols and formats such as Tib/Rv, XML, MQ, FIX.  Databases: SQL Server 2005 / 2008 and ability to write T-SQL, ADO.NET and other methods for hitting and working with SQL databases.
