Our client; a global prop trading firm specialising in algorithmic trading has an excellent opportunity for a C++ Software Engineer to join in developing and maintaining their high performance algorithmic trading platform.
This is a hands-on role and you will be working on HIGH PERFORMANCE EXCHANGE CONNECTIVITY and the infrastructure required to make this happen.
Your responsibilities will include; designing, developing and building out new connectivity to exchanges across Europe as well as benchmarking and tuning critical software services to achieve optimum performance and latency levels.
In addition, you will liaise directly with traders and quantitative developers to capture business requirements and help resolve technical issues. You will also collaborate with the RD team to research new and innovative technologies and will be responsible for integrating these technologies into a production environment.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS: (MANDATORY)
- Proven experience in Electronic/Algorithmic Trading and Exchange Connectivity
- Exceptional C++ programming skills in a LINUX environment
- Experience designing multi-threaded applications
- Strong understanding of Exchange Protocols
- A degree in Computer Science or any quantitative subject.
