C++ Developer – Proprietary Trading Firm – Sydney recruitment
We are working with a Market Leading Global Proprietary Trading Organisation that is renowned for utilsing bleeding edge technology, creating innovative solutions and attracting / rewarding the best technologists the markets have to offer. They have been consistently growing their Sydney operations organically and now, again, due to more growth they are looking for another talented C++ Software Engineer to join their Sydney Team and contribute significantly to the design and development of their high frequency automated trading systems, trading strategies and black box solutions.
This is a team with members in every office location in the world that combine to utilise best practice development techniques, design patterns and state of the art architecture to evolve the companies software capabilities.
The role itself is to produce highly scalable, high quality, robust C++ (Linux) solutions which meet the needs of the local environment whilst conforming to Global standards. You will work in a small local team that gives emphasis for the Sydney based projects that are raised at a global level. The environment for this role is predominantly C++ Linux, Boost and STL.
Requirements of the role:
- Exceptional C++ programming skills - with an innovative yet simplistic approach.
- Sound software design skills, knowledge of Object Orientated methodologies and use of design patterns.
- Strong understanding of the SDLC in highly complex environments
- Experienced developing real-time, low latency software systems
- Passion for software excellence with a focus on performance and re-useability
- Software prototyping skills
- Understanding / Interest in the Financial Markets Trading Technology Arena
- Knowledge of data structure and algorithm design and selection
