C# Developer- Trading Systems recruitment
Susquehanna International Group LLP (SIG) has an opening for an experienced UI Developer to join our technology team in the Bala Cynwyd (Greater Philadelphia) office. You will be part of a team that builds and enhances our real-time, high performance equities and options trading systems which presents some 200 equities and their thousands of options to SIG traders. You will leverage your technical skills and search out new technologies to optimize data visualization allowing split second decision making. You will have the opportunity to push the limits of what is possible on the Windows platform while delivering new functionality to our traders on a regular basis. You will be working directly with both end-users and collaborating with the other developers of this trading platform.
Responsibilities:
- Take an active role in developing new functionality for the user base by designing and implementing UI solutions using Windows/.NET that satisfy complex business requirements focusing on system integration, configurability, manageability, stability, scalability and performance
- Responsible for design and implementation of software solutions that understand the business domain (problems, activities, processes) and apply that understanding to strategic decision making to maximize technology value
- Be aware of emerging technologies and champion them in our environment
- Provide mentoring and lead by example with clean UI / business logic separation
- Provide support for systems once they are deployed into the production environment
- Collaborate with a user experience expert on the look + feel, workflow designs
- Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or related discipline with a minimum of seven (7) years of experience designing and developing applications using object oriented programming in a heterogeneous technology environment. Experience may substitute for education.
- Extremely strong C#, WinForms and Win32 skills
- Proven experience with the intricacies of developing multithreaded UIs in the .NET framework
- Proven experience building maintainable, performant thick client UIs
- Experience with CPU and Memory profilers to detect hot spots and leaks
- Experience building testable user interface code
- Able to make good decisions about buy vs. build for UI components (grids, charts, etc.)
- Experience applying a variety of technologies to solve complex business problems
- Ability to bridge communications among technical staff and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to become fluent in the business domain
- Experience with financial services applications, middleware, and networking are all huge pluses
