C# Development Lead recruitment

The recently formed Counterparty Treasury IT function within the UBS Investment Bank manages the build out and support of UBS’ Credit Valuation Adjustment, Counterparty Credit Risk, Liquidity Funding IT systems
Your job is within one of the most high profile and well-respected IT teams in the City, building out the capabilities to allow our trading desks to actively manage credit and liquidity risks in the markets.
Your job is to take responsibility for delivering a new strategic component that manages the end of day inventory and book close process across UBS Securities, including Equity Derivatives, Commodities, FX, Bonds, Exchange Traded Derivatives etc.
You will build a development team comprising onshore and offshore developers and analysts capable of delivering strategic change. You will work in close partnership with teams in trade capture and risk spaces across technologies.
Your job will give wide exposure to senior decision makers within the Investment Bank.
Requirements
You are a hands-on development lead with extensive experience of delivering complex, front to back integrated systems at Investment Banks.
Essential competencies:
• Strong C# expertise (ideally v3.5 and 4), with extensive knowledge of Visual Studio and multi-threaded frameworks like WCF
• Strong java expertise, with working knowledge of eclipse and spring
• Strong knowledge of database technology, ideally Oracle 10g
• Strong knowledge of system integration through enterprise messaging, ideally Tibco EMS
• Experience working in an agile and iterative environment, using test driven development and similar practices
• Exposure to ESB (such as Tibco ActiveMatrix) and Complex Event Processing technologies
• Excellent written communication; ability to create powerful and maintainable documentation
• Appreciation of system architecture
• Proven experience of operating at influencing senior business and IT leaders
• Proven experience in leading development teams in either a matrix organisation or direct line management capacity
Highly desirable:
• Knowledge of CVA and RWA risk measures
• Strong knowledge of structured derivatives
• Building automated test packs (e.g. that can run in a daily build under a tool like CruiseControl, TeamCity)
• Distributed HPC foundation technologies like grid (ideally DataSynapse), caching etc.
• Demonstrated experience of supporting, profiling and tuning complex distributed systems in test and following release
