My client is a Market Leading, Global Proprietary Trading and Equities Market Making organisation renowned for utilsing bleeding edge technology, creating innovative solutions and attracting / rewarding the best technologists the markets have to offer.
Team Description:
They have been consistently growing their Sydney operations and now, again, due to more growth they are looking for an experienced C++ Developer to contribute significantly to the design and development of their completely in-house built, ultra-low-latency, high frequency, automated trading infrastructure.
Role Description:
The Sydney office trades across a number of Australasian and Asian markets and are continuing to increase their participation on new exchanges. The role itself centers around the design, development and implementation of high quality, robust C++ based connectivity components and direct market access to emerging liquidity venues in the Asia Pac region. You will join a small development team and take the reins for the connectivity architecture, as such, as well as your design and development responsibilities, you will constantly assess and recommend exchange connectivity choices, conduct performance testing and tuning and provide 3 line support.
Requirements of the role:
- Prior experience in Equities Markets.
- Asian Exchange APIs. Ideally HKFE/HKSE (AMS/3), SGX, TSE (Arrowhead), OMX, KRX, NSE/BSE – This is an absolute prerequisite; do not apply if you do not have this experience!
- Understanding of the FIX protocol.
- Experience of high-volume, mission critical trading systems.
- Tibco RV Knowledge
- Experience of TCP/IP sockets UDP.
- Exceptional C++ programming skills
- Sound software design skills, knowledge of Object Orientated methodologies and use of design patterns.
- Strong understanding of the SDLC in highly complex environments
- Experienced developing real-time, low latency software
- Passion for software excellence with a focus on performance and re-useability
