My client is a Global Leading Hedge Fund that has maintained outstanding levels of profits and performance. The firms group which currently focuses on trading US equity has been enjoying great profits and aggressive expansion plans, and thus, they are now looking to hire a senior and junior level high frequency trading C++ developer to join the Algorithmic Trading team in the London.
The successful candidate will work within a team of technologists/traders and take a key role in designing and developing the HFT platform, working closely with traders to implement and execute strategies. The role requires a strong technologist with strong real-time design/architecture skills. Moreover, you must have front office experience and a deep understanding of equities. You will interact very closely with the traders and it is essential that you understand how the markets work and be able to thrive in a fast paced and challenging environment. On a technical level, experience of the following would be desired; C++/Linux design and architecture, real-time systems, order management, exchange connectivity, market data, strategy implementation.
Technical skills: C++ High Frequency Algorithmic Trading Developer / STL/ BOOST/ Real-time systems/ Windows/ Linux/ Scrum/ Agile methods - London
- Excellent C++ programming skills
- Solid technical background with ability to utilise other technical abilities
- Front Office experience primarily within the Equities space (other asset classes will be considered)
- Experience in High-Frequency trading is preferred
- Solid communication skills are required due to the collaborative culture between the technology and business side of the firm
- A high level of education is preferred (MSc/PhD) from a top university and technical degrees such as Computer Science are preferred.
- Linux and Windows
- FPGA acceleration is beneficial (but not essential)

Substantial involvement in design and architecture of high-frequency trading (HFT) platform
- Some project management
- Interface with traders, maximising product performance with strong knowledge of the financial markets
- Adopt dynamic and innovative ideas that coincide with the firms endeavours in being bigger and better than the rest of the field
- Correspond on projects with the global team
- Report to Senior Partners
