C#, .Net Developer recruitment

Position Summary:
Software Developers need to be familiar with software development and have a passion for learning. They will generally be engaged in projects ranging in size from weeks to months, and geared towards helping the business integrate and benefit from vendor applications. Software Developers will work both as an individual contributor and as a member of a small team of developers taking direction from project managers and technical leads. They need to be able to understand the Back Office Technology architecture at an application level. We are looking for individuals that are flexible, eager, and able to engage with the business on projects. The Back Office Technology environment will most likely be about integrating third party systems, which will be required of someone in this role.
 
Position Requirements:
 Design
• Work with a technical lead to design solutions
• Work with a business analyst to develop requirements
• Learn best practices on maintainability, supportability, and operability of the solutions being designed
• Work with a technical lead to learn good software development practices
 
Develop
• Take direction from a project manager/tech lead on development work streams
• Learn best practices on maintainability, supportability, and operability of the solutions being developed
• Practice good software development practices
 
Do
• Integrate, maintain, and enhance vendor applications
• Work with a tech lead to design new applications, components, and interfaces
• Maintain code base: fix bugs, re-factor, improve patterns, reduce duplication, and extend functionality
• Write automated tests
• Develop expertise in: .NET, SQL Server, third party applications
 
Core Criteria:

 Technical/Architectural Skill
 • 5+ years professional experience developing software
• Technical experience with .NET: C#, ASP.NET
• Knowledge of modern development methodologies and practices
• Understanding of Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOA/OOD)
• Familiar with standard software development toolsets, source code control (branching tagging, etc.)
• Financial Services experience required
• Has the ability to work with the business to identify business problems and work with a tech lead to design excellent solutions
• Experience working with 3rd party vendor products and understands the challenges in integrating these packages into in-house systems/flows
