C++ / .net / Windows / Python / F# Developer –Top Computer Science Graduate for Leading Hedge Fund recruitment
This is a great opportunity for a talented junior developer looking to move into the financial space. You will join a Leading Hedge Fund based in the West End, London, in a role that will give you a huge amount of exposure to finance, trading and risk, as well as an opportunity to learn a number of cutting edge technologies. You will join a small team of highly experienced and proficient computer scientists, working with a number of different internal clients on a range of ad-hoc and long term strategic projects. The team use a range of technologies and methodologies (C++, C#, .net, python, Haskell, cruise control) and the role is suited to a junior developer with a strong passion for technology and the ability to pick up new languages/concepts quickly and confidently.
You will report to the head of development in London and have extensive communication with the partners of the firm, giving you a great opportunity for career development and progression within the firm.
Prior financial experience is not a plus, and you will quickly gain a huge amount of knowledge in the role. The ideal candidate may have experience at software house, gaming company, telecommunications. Communication and the ability to present ideas is key as there will be a lot of idea sharing and innovation. The hedge fund is based in the West End of London and there will be flexible working hours and great benefits (healthcare, pension, gym membership etc).
The Junior C++ / .net / Windows Developer –Top Computer Science Graduate will have the following skill set:
• Bsc or MSc in Computer Science from a top 20 University
• Commercial experience (ie software house, gaming, telecommunications – internships would be fine)
• Strong C++ or C#/ .Net programming ability
• SQL
• Strong interest in learning new technologies (F#, Haskell etc)
• Excellent problem solving ability
• Strong communication and confident
The responsibilities for the Junior C++ / Windows Developer –Top Computer Science Graduate will include:
• Work in a collaborative and open environment on a wide range of different projects within overlapping teams
• Design and development of next generation quantitative models and tools in C++/ .net / Widows
• Works alongside a number of internal desks (finance, trading, MA, risk etc) and gain a great knowledge of finance
• Report to the head of development
