You will play a major role in developing and implementing new features and enhancements into their current environment, while also being involved in integrating their third party applications into existing trading systems. You will play a major role in all aspects of the support, from roll outs of new features to testing of future system enhancements.

Responsibilities:
-Support the Investments and derivative functions of the systems by trouble-shooting and identify root cause analysis of application problems. Identify action items and make recommendations to address process and coding issues.

- Assist with the configuration, implementation and maintenance of the development, staging and production environments.

- Define and maintain coding standards for the development team. Standards include but are not limited to: basic systems analysis techniques, testing, debugging, documentation, file design, storage and interfacing.

- Code and support multiple in-place programs: coordinate with project, support, and business analysts to develop functional and technical requirements. Translate detailed specifications into new or enhanced application code solutions.

- Assist with the performance management and load/stress testing for the derivatives, Portfolio management and accounting applications. Create interfaces and load-scripts to ancillary financial and reporting systems.

-Develop technical and functional test plans and scripts to validate the successful design, development and implementation of system and reporting deliverables and obtain user sign-off.

- Code and maintain system interfaces and extracts to handle the migration of derivative and accounting information to ancillary systems.

Requirements:

You will need a good understanding of both scripting and complied code (C++/Perl), to support the derivatives and portfolio management systems in order to implement solutions that enhance, streamline and automate the management of their capital markets portfolio systems.

5 – 7 years experience and possess good communication skills, as you will be dealing with customers (mostly internal) on a daily basis.

Some understanding of SQL / Windows Server and code management with CVS.

Knowledge of the fixed income market space would be a plus.

Please note this position also requires you to be flexible in regard to work schedule, as there are occasional weekend / early morning shift coverage responsibilities for new feature roll outs / upgrades
