C++ Software Developer recruitment
The Role
Bloomberg is looking for a Software Developer to join their iOS Mobile team based in
London. Excellent device-side iOS programming skills and a good understanding of UI design
are essential. The ideal candidate would have experience implementing iPhone and iPad
applications with highly customized and innovative user interfaces.
Candidates should have a passion for technology and a flexible, creative approach to problem
-solving. They should be able to take ownership of business requirements and devise and
develop solutions that meet the customer's needs. Time to market is critical. They must be
able to liaise closely with Bloomberg's business team and other stakeholders to ensure a
quality 'look feel' for the Bloomberg application, devising innovative solutions that
reflect Bloomberg's brand identity while making the most of the platform's unique
technology features and design guidelines. Day to day tasks will involve development and
integration of new applications and enhancements, and working on projects to improve the
stability of our existing software.
Qualifications
iPhone/iPad application development using Objective-C and Xcode with successful
applications released to the App Store
Experience and knowledge of UIKit
Commercial experience of C++ and STL
Exposure to the full software development life cycle
Excellent problem solving and multi-tasking skills, with a creative and flexible attitude
Other desirable skills include:
Experience and knowledge of Core Animation and Core Graphics
Understanding of multithreading and networking concepts
(X)HTML, HTML5, and JavaScript experience
Server-side development experience on UNIX and/or web services
