The Role
The candidate will be involved in the design and development of C# applications in the front office trading environment. Principally the candidate will bring strong software engineering skills to the role, along with an interest in developing real-time trading systems. The candidate will be required to liaise closely with the trading desks to deliver trading solutions, as well as to develop server-based trading components. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who comes from a C++ or Java background to cross-train into C#.
Responsibilities / Day-to-day activity
- Analysis, Design and Implementation of C# applications and software components.
- Taking projects through the entire life cycle from requirements gathering through to final testing and deployment.
- Working within a multi-disciplined technology team (networking, systems, database, and software development) to deliver software solutions for their traders.(All development is done in C#, .Net 4.0, Visual Studio 2010 ReSharper).
- Involvement in supporting previous apps and coding the current project.
Qualifications
- B.S. in a technical discipline
- 3 years commercial experience in C#, C++ or Java.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with traders and other members of the technology team.
- Passion for learning and technology, and a record of outstanding abilities both academically and in prior experience.
