C++ Software Engineer, London

(Circa £80,000 + Significant Bonus Package + Benefits)

Following successful business growth and profits, my client, a well recognised, global dynamic company that provides leading edge valuation models and pricing tools along with risk analysis solutions for global financial markets are seeking a talented technical analyst to join they’re rapidly growing team.

The dynamic company has grown rapidly to establish itself as the leading specialist provider for software for the credit and interest rates markets. The company is well recognised for the top tier client list with whom they work with globally, all of which are investment banks, asset managers and hedge funds.

My client are seeking a dynamic, motivated and talented technical analyst/consultant with at least 2 years background within the financial industry to join they’re fast growing London expansion operation.

The successful candidate will work directly with the technical and business users to implement, install, configure and customize there advanced software products, as well as being able to provide internal technical support to ensure the smooth operation of the London office as well as global offices. This position involves working directly with global clients in which communication and interpersonal skills are paramount.

The position also means you will have the opportunity to travel globally due to the global presence of the company. With offices in London, New York, Australia, Japan and the middle east, the opportunity to travel is available.

The role is technically demanding meaning you will be utilizing leading edge technologies, therefore C++/C# and SQL experience and usage is a must. This is an exciting opportunity to work with and learn from senior and experienced financial technology professionals in an entrepreneurial and exciting environment. You will be working with some of the most talented and well established developers in the business. As well as being involved in a hands on role, you will also have 360’ business exposure.

Primary Responsibilities for C++ Software Engineer, London:

• Hands on management and execution of software implementations and upgrades

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve complex technical issues

• Working with clients to gather requirements and analyze their business needs

• Configure and test software

• Script development

• Train users on technical configuration

• Liaise with the global business teams to define requirements

Key Skills Required for C++ Software Engineer, London:

(C++/C#, Computer Science/Engineering ,SQL, Linux/Unix, Perl/Python)

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science/Engineering or another technical discipline

• Minimum two years of experience within a financial setting

• Experience with either of the following; C++/C#, Perl/Python, .Net, SQL and Excel

• Unix/Linux

• Knowledge of finance: Credit/Interest Rates/Credit Derivatives

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Self motivations and ability to work independently

• Ability to work within a collaborative team environment
