C++ Software Engineer (Predictive Technologies) recruitment

The Predictive Technologies team is responsible for market predictions and trading technologies platforms deployed to the markets outside of the USA. This includes the data collection, design, development, test, deployment, operational monitoring, performance assessment and maintenance of statistical models, trading model libraries and support scripts.

The group support the business’ mission for cutting edge electronic trading systems and strategies through research, development, and maintenance of core software assets (predictive software system). The primary development languages are C++, Python and Perl, other tools (SAS, R, KDB, bash, etc.) are also used. 

The ideal candidate will work on a prioritized list of projects in a dynamic environment, balancing improvements in prediction quality, speed, and reliability with market changes that would influence prediction. Produce software that is easily portable to multiple markets worldwide.

You will improve the reliability, accuracy, speed, and use of predictive and trading technologies. Continue to support and develop trading software systems. Contribute new, innovative methods for research, production and deployment of trading systems.

Job requirements:

Product Familiarity and Technical Knowledge

• Expert knowledge of C++

• C++ Standard Library

• Templates

• Event driven programming

• Real-time processing

• Network programming via sockets

• Experience with Unix/Linux

• Knowledge of MatLab, SAS, R, or similar tools

• Strong background in mathematics and/or statistics

• Experience with long-term complex projects

• Some experience in Perl or Python

Educational background/Experience

Bachelor degree in Computer Science with a minor in Math or a degree in Math with a minor in Computer Science or college degree in related field required; advance degree a plus

Three plus years “real world” experience (jobs, internships, open source involvement, etc.)
