C# Technical Lead / Senior C# Team Leader – Greenfield Fixed Income Trading Infrastructure, Leading Mayfair Based Hedge Fund
Introduction: Montash Associates have been retained by a prestigious, industry leading Hedge Fund, to assist in the acquisition of an experienced technical lead with skills in C# to come on board and lead a high profile development team, who will be working on a brand new Fixed Income trading infrastructure.
The Organisation: This Highly successful Mayfair based Hedge Fund currently manage an asset portfolio to the tune of circa $10bn, and are renowned for working with cutting edge technologies. At a time when investment banks are talking of job cuts and hiring freezes, this Buy-Side firm is emerging as a leading light in the continued drive to grow and to acquire top technological talent. Having emerged from the credit crunch stronger than ever and experiencing huge profits and healthy growth, this firm is undoubtedly one of the strongest players in the city.
The Team Project: This team will consist of the strongest C# developers in the industry, and will be responsible for development of a brand new Fixed Income trading infrastructure that will replace a set of legacy systems and further enhance the leading position of this established organisation.
The Role: A Technical lead with four main skill requirements; the ability to affectively lead a team of developers, to understand Fixed Income trading from a technology perspective, to be able to communicate with and influence business stakeholders, and to provide expert level C# development skills.
The Technology: The latest versions C# .Net will be used on this project. It is essential that applicants have a deep, low level understanding of the .Net Framework e.g. garbage collection etc. An expert ability to produce multithreaded code to an advanced level is very attractive e.g. dead locking, control locks etc. Candidates must possess expert skills in OO Design, and must be well versed in the most complex areas e.g. Polymorphism etc. As a true believer in staying on the cusp of the wave of cutting edge technology, this firm is open to influential technologists who enhance their software with related technologies.
The Candidate: Any applicant must possess a minimum of 6 years working with C# and at least 2 years working as a C# technical Lead/hands on C# development manager. Excellent knowledge of Fixed Income from a business/IT perspective is highly desirable. It is very important that any applicants are able to deal directly with senior stakeholders, at the same time as efficiently leading their team. Candidates will ideally come from a prop trading, hedge fund or investment banking background, and possess first class, extensive academics.
The Package: Total compensation for this opportunity will be very attractive; a base of up to £100k plus a very competitive package and an uncapped discretionary bonus mean that the best candidates can be assured of an excellent total comp (circa £160k – 200k).
