C++ / Unix Developer – Proprietary Trading House
A talented C++ on Unix Developer is sought for a prestigious proprietary trading firm who specialize in commodities. Our client desires to maximize its efficiency and increase the speed of its services using low latency technology. The successful C++ applicant will be required for coding and analysis of high frequency equity statistical arbitrage strategies. A numerate/quantitative academic background is highly desirable; as is strong statistics and signal detection in experimental data. Degrees in Computer Science, Physics and Mathematics will be highly favored but are not a necessary prerequisite. The applicant must have exceptional C++ programming experience including STL and Multithreading. It must be noted that C++ on UNIX/Linux (Shell, Perl, KSH, BASH) is essential for this role.
C++ Candidates will require:
*Minimum two years C++ programming experience;
*UNIX/LINUX;
*STL/BOOST;
*Multithreading coding;
*Numerate or quantitative academic background;
*Signal detection in experimental data experience;
*Experience working in the finance sector; and
As a C++ Software Engineer you will have an integral role in the development of state of the art back end software. The successful C++ applicant will be coding and analyzing high frequency equity statistical arbitrage strategies - a vital function of our client. Main duties will be enhancing pre-existing strategies as well as initiating new directions and ideas for new strategies. This project will require a creative flair and a genuine passion for C++ coding. You will become a key player of the business as this is a very 'IT-centric' proprietary trading house which prides itself on its intellectual approach to statistical analysis.
The successful C++ Developer can expect to earn a very competitive salary: between £80k - 100k per annum and company bonus. The salary being based on structured management discretion.
