One of the leading and most prestigious trading firms is looking for a C# Front to back developer to take up a pivotal position as part of a Greenfield project.
The project:
The firm are introducing new platforms for Front Office users. They are to build a 100% Greenfield system capable of delivering to a range of business areas. The .NET 4.0 application is Client Server using Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) for the client, and Microsoft SQL Server 2008, StreamInsight and Microsoft Analysis Services on the Server Side. This is a long-term, high profile project utilising the latest technologies wherever possible.
The role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and development of a number of systems. The client application must be a highly responsive, multi-threaded Front End which will provide users with flexible reporting capabilities. The role will involve liaising directly with the business and end-users on the look and feel of the application, and extensive exposure to all aspects of the Fixed Income Front Office.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have strong experience of delivering complex systems in a financial environment, ideally within a Front Office Fixed Income area. Knowledge of C#, WCF and WPF programming and development is essential (although Winforms will be considered with relevant financial experience).
Essential skills/attributes:
* C#/WPF development (Winforms considered, particularly with relevant finance knowledge)
* Multi-threading
* WCF development
