Thats why the Army National Guard fields the communications maintenance team to keep the Army National Guard talking. Cable Systems Installer/Maintainers are primarily responsible for installing, operating, and maintaining cable and wire communications systems, communication security devices and associated equipment, including communications and electric cables between utility poles.

Become a Cable Systems Installer/Maintainer and you will also gain the skills necessary for a future with civilian companies or Government agencies that design, repair, or make communications and electronic equipment. Job training for a Cable Systems Installer/Maintainer consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training, where you'll learn basic Soldiering skills, and eight weeks of Advanced Individual Training. Training consists of both classroom and field work.
