CAD Designer Position Summary: Create and design new hydraulic cylinder products, improve existing products and complete detailing and maintenance of engineering documents on CAD (Inventor and AutoCad design systems). Essential Functions: New Project layouts: This entails creating models and new documentation for new and up coming project designs. Provide documentation for new assemblies of current product lines. Processing CEWS's, updating, and maintaining current CAD documents and files on product line. Converting drawings from one type of CAD software to another. Pulling new part numbers, creating new assembly parts list. Complete dimensional analysis of parts and assemblies to ensure compatibility. Enter electronic files of models and drawings into vault. Change models and drawings in the vault according to engineering change order process. Make changes to main frame Bill of Materials to complete changes required by change orders and new release of products for production. Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers. Recommends changes to refine and enhance products through VAVE, cost reduction and continuous improvement activities Job Requirements : Qualifications: Associates Degree or other two-year degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Mechanical Design Drafting. Working knowledge of Inventor and AutoCAD. The ability to read and correctly interpret instructions, drawings, specifications, procedures, and computer-generated data is required. Writing skills sufficient to prepare necessary documentation and reports presentable to internal and external customers. Verbal communication needs to be at a level consistent with providing meaningful feedback to internal and external customer. General knowledge of mathematical principals, Algebra, and Trigonometry. Mechanical aptitude, ability to design complex mechanical devices and establish working relationships Offer Relocation : No Other Skills : EOE/M/F/D/V
