Job Description This position will be mainly responsible for : Liaison with lead drafter and engineers to ensure timely delivery of drawings Production of design and drawings to high standard of specification and presentation. Provision of technical expertise to suit client needs Using knowledge, experience and initiative to guide and mentor junior designers Excellent drawing checking skills Undertakes and manages allocated CAD production and other technical work tasks to agreed deadlines, standards (AECOM, client and project), and in accordance with the project plan Produces accurate and timely documentation, drawings or reports in accordance with the project plan Contributes to a complete and integrated set of project documents by working co-operatively with team members Selection criteria: Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering Design Professional affiliation (e.g. TMIEAust) (advantageous) Minimum 4 years design experience Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microstation. Experience with 3D modelling and 2D drawing extraction Proficiency in 12D (or other similar design package) Knowledge of rail and road alignment design Understanding of the layout and geometry or rail yards and main lines (advantageous).
