Opportunity Parsons is seeking a Computer Aided Design (CAD) Manager with extensive engineering software experience to support our transportation group. Initial assignments will be on rail programs. The selected candidate will manage and control CAD files and documents and review CAD deliverables to assure Parsons and clients requirements are met. This position will entail coordinating CAD related tasks with project engineers CAD designers for mapping, rails, roads, highways, geotechnical, structural, and civil engineering deliverables. You will also be asked to oversee Isometric, and 3-D drawings. Keys to your success will be your professional abilities to contribute to our engineering design team and successfully lead efforts to create detailed and accurate CAD drawings and deliverables. This position is based in our San Francisco, CA, office. Qualifications 12+ years of relevant CAD experience, the majority of which has preferably been in the engineering, construction and/or transportation industries Track record of managing other CAD designers and developing a cooperative partnership between CAD and engineering staff members Superior knowledge of CAD software including the ability to set up Macro commands Understanding and familiarity of Isometric and 3-D drawings a plus 2-year technical degree or certificate of completion from an accredited designer/drafter course (or equivalent) is preferred Parsons offers an ethical, challenging, diverse, rewarding and fun work experience where enthusiastic, responsible people use their energy, talent and dedication to make a difference in the world.
