Cadis Development Lead
The role will be hands-on with the chance to contribute to the Group IT Strategy and drive forward the ongoing rationalisation, simplification, modernisation and optimisation of the company’s Enterprise Data architecture.
My client is a major Fund Manager and they are looking for a talented Cadis Development Lead to oversee a team of 3 to form a new Cadis centre of excellence. The role will be hands-on with the chance to contribute to the Group IT Strategy and drive forward the ongoing rationalisation, simplification, modernisation and optimisation of the company’s Enterprise Data architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership of the Enterprise Data Solutions Team; ensuring staff are motivated and well informed, understand what is required of them and that tasks are well aligned to team objectives
- Ensuring that solutions are of high quality and delivered on time
- Working closely with Development Manager to ensure solutions are aligned to business objectives and direction
- Leading by example to foster an atmosphere where business engagement and relationship management are a cornerstone of working practises
- Ensuring robust, well documented procedures and standards are in place to support organised, coherent, efficient, high quality product deliveries, specifically:
- MarkIT EDM SQL Server standards and design patterns
- Code management
- Release management
- Unit Testing
- Documentation
- Ensuring robust mechanisms are in place that guarantee adherence to procedures and standards
- Working with test team to ensure applications are well tested and problems are resolved ahead of software releases
Required:
This position will ideally suit a current Cadis Developer who is looking for more in terms of management and input into data strategy/architecture
- Good understanding of development of Enterprise Data Solutions (and tools used to support the SDLC)
- Technical leadership capability
- Advanced knowledge of MarkIT EDM preferred
- In-depth understanding of database technologies such as MSSQL server and T-SQL; SSIS; SSRS and SSAS
- Strong demonstrable experience of delivering IT Solutions to schedule and within budget
