We have an immediate requirement for CAE/ CFD Application Support Specialist and the location is Auburn Hills, MI
Description and responsibilities:
Support the virtual analysis community with High Performance Computing (HPC) applications to perform design validation. Responsible to enhance process, tools and methods using multiple applications. Work with analysts to develop best practices for virtual analysis. Provide support including model development, application usage, analysis techniques and scripting on HPC systems.
· Update CAE license reporting to enhance daily reports.
· Establish mechanism to provide monthly / quarterly license usage reports.
· Update intranet based CAE application documentation.
· Work with engineers and analysts to establish and document virtual analysis best practices.
· New version roll-out of CAE applications including planning, quality assurance testing, training and deployment
· Update scripts as required to adapt to new HPC Linux servers
· Perform quality assurance testing on new versions of CAE applications
· Developing installation package for new version rollout
· Helping users migrate to new versions of CAE applications
