DuPont is an E-Verify employer. To maintain the cafeteria by ordering food and supplies, cleaning, setting up and serving food to employees and customers. Primary Functions: PREPARING: Prepares and sets up salad bar by chopping vegetables, cleaning/tearing lettuce, plating salads and desserts according to kitchen standard operating procedures. Stocks and displays plated food on shelves. Follows standards in dispensing food portions. Cuts, mixes items for sandwich board. TAKING FOOD ORDERS : Takes food orders from customers, describes daily food specials, and prepares hot or cold sandwiches, plates hot food entrees. STOCKING: Restocks food supplies and paper products, orders needed items from store room by filling out requisition sheet. Takes inventory of all food and beverage items. Displays hot and cold food items. Informs cook when hot food items are low. MAINTAINING : Cleans and sanitizes work area, refrigerators and dining area on a continual basis to meet safety and sanitation standards. Washes down customer tables. Keeps display area clean and free of debris. Cleans area equipment (slicers, trays and cutting tools) so it is safe and ready to use. Notifies proper contacts when equipment is failing. GREETING: Greets customers as they enter cafeteria, handles customer requests in a swift manner. Explains menu and specialty items, displays a positive working relationship with staff and customers. Guest Point of Sale Responsibility and Cash Handling: Ability to run Point of Sales system during high business volume in a friendly and efficient manner. Assume responsibility of an assigned cash bank, as well as all DuPont Hospitality audits and controls associated.
