POSITION OVERVIEW: Under general supervision, works with managers, project managers or other internal clients to analyze business system needs for an assigned small to medium-sized business application system or subsystem. Researches business systems and industry requirements to recommend appropriate solutions for assigned small systems and subsystems; identifies the business implications of the recommended solutions and the potential effects of integrating and implementing them. May assist in defining systems scope, objectives, budget, schedule and design for upgrades, modifications or enhancements to existing systems and subsystems, applying research, fact-finding and an understanding of the Parsons organization and the end users needs. May support the installation and implementation of new systems and subsystems, under general direction from more senior staff. May present findings and recommendations to internal clients. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) Database including all data collection, data input, monitoring, maintaining and reporting for all regions globally.Manage data integrity for CAFM, including regular auditing and monitoring of the data held within the dB, as well as report accuracy and compliance with standards. Set-up clear QA and other checking procedures to ensure validity of the data. Set up and maintain automated reporting tools as required. Provide reporting on business occupancy, vacancies, square footage, cost allocations, and other metrics as required. Partner with GSS Finance, IS and Regional Managers to maintain information in CAFM to Parsons requirements. Manage all AutoCAD drawing files including existing locations and obtaining drawings for new locations. Create, document, and maintain all processes/procedures Facilitate new user account request. Technical support for Archibus IT issues - server down, user login issues, report coding/calculation errors, dB malfunctions, etc. Consult on special projects involving new software implementations and reporting. CAFM support for special project involving people, space, or drawing data. Provides support to the IS team during project development by working as a liaison with the users to resolve issues and answer developer questions as they arise. May participate in quality assurance activities and user acceptance testing (UAT). Qualifications PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 4-year degree in Finance, Business or Computer Science (or related curriculum); degree in CAD/CAFM, Interior Design Preferred and a total of at least 3-5 years of progressive experience in programming using specialized languages, in developing or implementing IT infrastructure solutions or in working with mobilization solutions (or an equivalent combination of work experience and education). Some experience with business systems analysis desirable. Experience with Building Operations/On Demand Work/Preventive Maintenance. SKILLS/COMPETENCIES: An understanding of applicable project software applications and technology. Familiar with the features and use of at least two programming languages (e.g., ASP, ASP.NET, Visual Basic, VB.net, SQL, MSSQL, etc.) or limited familiarity with infrastructure / mobilization solutions (e.g., Network solutions, WAP, VoIP, Video Conferencing, Riverbed). Experience identifying requirements via industry standard analysis techniques such as data flow modeling, workflow analysis, business process modeling, component diagrams and functional decomposition analysis required. Hands-on experience with one or more software products that support these methodologies preferred. Knowledge of the phases of business analysis. Knowledge of financial applications and their use. Knowledge of Parsons financial applications and interfaces desirable. An understanding of the business use of specific technologies and the business implications of using those technologies. Ability to do online research, analyze organizational data and interview staff to arrive at the best systems recommendation. Written and oral communication skills appropriate for the position, including the ability to speak very well in basic professional situations and present technical data in a logical manner that is easy to understand (may include communication via telephone, in person, or presenting to small groups). Ability to write moderately complex documents (may include emails, memos, procedures, presentations). Communicates with a wide variety of individuals (employees and managers) throughout the organization and outside of the organization (i.e. clients, vendors).
