JOB DESCRIPTION:
Overview:
Responsible for the execution of calibration work orders for new and existing equipment. Individual is directly responsible for multiple calibration work orders and ensuring these work orders are performed in an accurate and timely manner. Manage and report metrics for the completion of specific individual goals and objectives. Represents Calibration group on project teams and provides consultation and support as required to meet project goals and objectives. Responsible for troubleshooting and investigating problems with instrumentation throughout the plant per written procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Execute calibration work orders by performing equipment and instrument calibrations.
- Prepare and review calibration program standard operating procedures.
- Assure timely resolution of incidents and deviations for alarms, calibration events, and other operational requirements
- Operates computerized calibration management system (CCMS) and computerized maintenance management system (CMMS); runs trend reports and compiles regular trending graphs for cGMP equipment/facilities tracked by CCMS/CMMS
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to read and understand technical documents, specifications and drawings.
- Prepare Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), and User Requirement Specifications (URS), where applicable.
- Prepare project plans, timelines, calibration plans, progress reports, and other deliverables.
- Assist in the development of, and perform constant evaluation of company calibration standards.
- Provide guidance to junior member(s) to resolve technical problems.
- Provide timely compliance status reports to management of on-going projects.
Qualifications:
- AA or BS degree in scientific/engineering field or technical certification preferred but not required. Individuals with equivalent combination of education, training and related experience will be considered.
- Proven calibration and/or qualification, experience.
A minimum of 5 plus years of relevant Calibration experience in an FDA regulated environment (food, pharmaceutical, personal care, cleaning products, etc).
- Familiarity with Datastream 7i preferred but not required. Proficiency with the use of project, spreadsheet, database, presentations, and word processing software (Microsoft Professional)
