Call Centre Team leader

Hays Office Support are recruiting a Team Leader to work on a full time permanent basis for a leading Insurance company based in Essex.

Objective: To support the day to day operation of the team, leading, developing, coaching, and motivating the team to encompass the company values towards achievement of all agreed targets and service levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing, motivating inspiring the team, ensuring fair consistent people management is applied across the department.
• Develop colleagues through regular reviews, coaching and on the job training in order ensure all team members are fully trained developed in order to carry out their roles accordingly.
• Ensuring that every opportunity and process improvement is identified in order to achieve department sales targets
• Work towards and engage the team in a strong business strategy, ensuring departmental objectives are being met in order to achieve business objectives
• Ability to contribute to the departmental budgeting and highlight costs to ensure corrective action is taken
• Create an environment for change, increased efficiencies and solutions for improvements
• Manage staffing and workflow to ensure tasks are completed, business performance is on target whilst maintaining high levels of customer service and within budget
• Ensure the team adheres to procedures, legislative and regulatory rulings
• Identify and complete ad hoc project work relating to reducing costs and improving efficiencies
• Experience of working within a busy contact centre or high volume sales environment desirable

Skills/Attributes required for the role:

• Strong and proven experience of people management is essential.
• A strong attention to detail, with the ability to work quickly and accurately to tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to deal with people at all levels.
• Excellent organisational skills and a willingness to take ownership and accountability of work.
• Outgoing and confident individual with a ‘can do’ attitude.
• Takes responsibility for, and drives own development on a continued basis.
• Must have resilience patience to deal with difficult situations.
