Join our team as an Assistant Store Manager Trainee and have the opportunity to experience an 11-week Management On-boarding Program designed to give you the foundational skills you need to run a multi-million dollar business and the leadership and people skills required to serve the needs of our guests and our team members.
It starts with intensive on-the-job and classroom training to learn how to operate the most important unit of our business….the store. It continues with training as part of the management team. You will be responsible for learning the financial, human resources, selling, customer service, distribution, and merchandising aspects of our business. Once the On-boarding Program is completed, you will attain experience managing all the functional areas of a store, including Front End, Back of House, and Sales Floor.
"R"Us provides a logical career progression, so that you have experience managing all the functional areas of a store. After you have demonstrated strong leadership, you will become eligible for the Store Manager position. Beyond the store, positions exist in multi-store management, headquarters, and the distribution centers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Retail Management, related study or equivalent experience
- Minimum GPA 3.0
- Some retail or restaurant experience required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated individuals with a high level of intellectual curiosity
- Strong analytical and technical skills
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative and cross-functional environment
- Ability to adapt to change and uncertainty
